In early 2011, professor Kale Lopez moved to Albuquerque, NM. He received his black belt from Joao Cunha who is a 5 time Pan American Champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and who is also undefeated in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Kale is originally from Hawaii and grew up in San Diego, CA.
The founder of Clube De Jiu Jitsu Pitbull is a man called Adilson "Bitta" Lima. Back in the 80's and 90's, Bitta and Renzo Gracie were among a handful of Jiu Jitsu pioneers who took their art to the cage and trully tested their skills in hand to hand combat. Bitta fought for many organizations, one being the famous "Rings" organization. His aggressive style was instilled in all his black belts which to this day numbers in the hundreds.
